Molecular sensor

Molecular sensor. Imagine if you could find out all the information you needed to from just scanning an item? Well you can. This new innovative idea called SCiO is a molecular sensor which can tell you different things about a specific item.

For example if you were to scan a apple it would be able to tell you the chemical properties of it. Thus you would be able to know relevant things like how many calories it contains and how sweet it is. So basically this device allows to find out all the chemical properties of items and objects all around us.

So how exactly does this molecular sensor work? It uses a tiny sensor called a spectrometer, it basically absorbs light reflected from an object and turns it into a spectrum. This is then sent to a cloud for analysis, which come to your smart device in real time.

So SCiO the molecular sensor is something that in the future will be very useful. This is because it will help to build a database of “matter” where we can use this to learn from and research into. So molecular sensors will certainly be part of the future especially if SCiO goes into mass production and becomes popular.
